The black hills of South Dakota is experiencing a killer. Not the four legged kind, but two legs and at the top of the food chain. The story starts with a young boy sent to his grandparents farm. People he didn’t know. Friendships, love, family, second chances, proving ones self, life and death.

It’s all there in a story that keeps your /5(1K). 16/12 - I can't remember ever being quite so relieved to have finally finished a Black Hills story book. Usually bad books get to be quite fun to read because I can post hilarious status updates showcasing the horrendous editing, writing, dialogue, etc., but Black Hills didn't have most of that, it was just really, REALLY boring and slow.

I hated about 97% of the minutes I spent reading this - skimmed from /5. The story is set in a wildlife refuge in the Black Hills of South Dakota, hence the title. Lil Chance met brooding city boy named Cooper Sullivan, who clearly had family issues but won’t admit it.

Soon they became close with each other and remain friends until their adolescent years. But in their case, absence didn’t make the heart grow fonder/5. The book had pages, the ending was about 2 pages in total. I felt the second romance in the book had more of an ending than the main characters of Lil and Cooper. All in all putting that Black Hills story book I feel that 'Black Hills' was a brilliant written book by Nora Roberts/5(1K).

The good news about Black Hills is that I managed to make it straight through the novel without a break. The bad news is that after enjoying the story, I was befuddled when I came to the end.
